5One of the best IEM’s available.
By Jay Riling
Unlike the previous reviewer’s comment anyone who is familiar with high end audio will attest to Audio-Technica’s build quality and Audio performance.
The CK-10′s are at the top of the list when comparing dual balanced earphones, you will not be disappointed with the decision to buy these or any of their products.

5Unbeatable value
By M. Lifshits
Believe it or not, for what these cost they are an incredible value for money. I’ve had my hands on dozens of high-priced in-ear earphones and have kept these over each one they have come up against. First off there is the build quality, which is absolutely flawless. The hard plastic shells feature titanium faceplates and integrated strain reliefs which protect the thick and soft internally-braided cables. I have put my set through many months of gym use and a year or so of regular everyday use before that and there isn’t a mark on them. To make them more exercise-friendly, the cables carry the least cable contact noise (microphonics) of any in-ear that I’ve tried. They also fit very snugly into my ears, though I will admit that stock tips are rubbish and recommend Sony Hybrid earcushions (EP-EX10A) as a replacement.

In terms of sound quality, these are definitely not for bassheads. Only lovers of clean and analytical sound need apply. Their response curve is astonishingly flat all the way down to 20Hz, with tight and accurate bass that reveals nuances you may not have previously heard at the expense of a tiny bit of dynamic range. At the top end they have sparkly, accented treble which borders on being bright. Clarity, detail, and instrumental separation are all on par with, if not better than, the popular $300+ in-ears out there.

For the people who are content with $20 earphones that act as nothing more than bass cannons, these are not recommended. For the music lover in search of the most detailed sound money can buy, these warrant being right near the top of the list as a total package.

5Best Earphone in Its Class
By Orton Redux
If your idea of quality headphones is to visit Best Buy, stop reading now. All others: pass Go and easily buy online this amazing Audio Technica ATH-CK10. The made-in Japan, dual-armature CK10 is a marvel of compact design, with build quality to match. With world music and weekly Economist podcasts, the clarity and crispness impress right away. A wide soundstage emphasizes the mids and treble. The CK10′s reputation for clarity is well-earned. This means those who prefer bassy, boomy reproduction should stay away (go get those Skullcandys and Sonys). No wonder AT doesn’t list these for sale in America. For $250-$250 from reputable online shops in Japan and Hong Kong, CK10s are best-in-class. The only earphone that surpasses the CK10 – and features a totally different sound signature – is its bigger, wiser brother ATH-CK100, at roughly twice the price.
